biography
On December 12, 1998, a little star was born in British Columbia, Canada. This child became known as Erika-Shaye Gair. Erika-Shaye has an older brother,
Luke, who is also an actor. She and Luke, were introduced into the acting world when a family friend recommended that they should try a stabb at acting in commercials. After booking numerous commercials (she's done fourteen (14) to be exact), Erika-Shaye decided to try auditioning for movies. Her first role in the acting world was playing a flower girl in the tv series Kat Plus One back in 2004. Erika-Shaye then went on to play the role of Cassie (at age 5), Robin's William's daughter in the 2006 comedy R.V. Next, Erika-Shaye booked an independant movie Circumfrance, where she took on the role of Pumpkin. Her next role would get her reconized as an actress, even though she didn't have much dialouge. Erika-Shaye landed the part of Rowan in Neil Lebute's remake of The Wicker Man. She originally had to memorize five (5) pages of dialouge, but unforutnently only one (1) of her many lines actually got put into the movie. Erika-Shaye's next role came as a made-for-tv movie called Lost Behind Bars, where she played Amanda & Noel's Daughter. Erika-Shaye would also book a guest starring role in a new ABC series called Three Moons Over Milford.
2007 came with great oppertunities for Erika-Shaye. In 2006 she had filmed a role in Patrick Lussier's White Noise 2: The Light (or White Noise: The Light), as the Red Coat Girl. She would then land a guest starring role in the popular sci-fi tv series Battlestar Galactica, playing young Kara Thrace.
Erika-Shaye had also booked the role of Jenny in Whisper. (formally known as Hellion) Unfortunently, her scene was cut out of the movie, as discovered when the DVD was released. Erika-Shaye would next book the role of Chloe Malone in the made-for-tv movie Time and Again, where
she'd be starring alongside Brooke Burns. She'd later book the role of Tammi in While She Was Out, also starring Kim Basinger. Luke, Erika-Shaye's brother, would also book a role in the movie as Terri, Tammi's (Erika-Shaye's character) twin brother. Erika-Shaye would later be reunited with Brooke Burns in the made-for-tv movie Trial By Fire (also known as Smokejumpers). Erika-Shaye would be playing the role of Meredith, whom is Brooke Burn's niece.
When she's not on a movie set, Erika-Shaye likes to dance, swim, ski, ice skate, play ice hockey, ride horses, sing, play the piano, and cycle. Erika-Shaye loves to dance, and has won well over 240 medals and trophies since January 2003 when she first got involved in Highland Dancing. (her brother Luke also dances) Her
favorite actresses are Dakota Fanning and Annasophia Robb, whom she also wishes to meet someday. She loves to eat chesse and pepperoni pizza, and her favorite colors are light blue and chestnut brown. She also used to be a member of the Coastal Sound Primary Singing Company, and now sings with her church's singing company. Every summer, Erika-Shaye and the rest of the family go to their favorite vacation spot, a trailer on a peice of waterfront property that runs along a beautiful beach (close to where the live seeing as they can go to and from auditions in the city) where Erika-Shaye and Luke go to play in the sand. Erika-Shaye Gair may still be a kid, but she's definently made her mark in the entertainment business... and we can't wait to see what she'll do next!
